Coach Black graduated from Texas Tech University in 1987 with a B.A. in English. She began teaching that same year in Pleasanton, Texas. In 1991 she received her Masters in Education as a Reading Specialist. Coach Black began teaching at FHS in 2000 and became the golf coach shortly after in 2003. Coach Black is passionate about golf and the teams here at FHS. She also began working part time job in 2004 at Baylor Centennial Hospital in the emergency room as a unit secretary. She deeply loves spending time with her family in east Texas, church family at Christ United Methodist in Plano, and working her part-time job. Some of her favorite things to do are vacations at the beach and outdoor activities!
This is Coach Hopkins' first year coaching at FHS and 12th year in FISD. Besides coaching, he also teaches physics and sometimes chemistry. Outside of school, Coach Hopkins spends most of his time either golfing or with his wife and three children at their various sporting events.
